Hide Ad‘An Introvert’s Guide to Networking’ attracted around 50 budding entrepreneurs and established businesses with the aim of getting delegates to think about how they might develop and build their networks for success.
Speaker Philip Bain, co-founder of ShredBank, gave a unique insight into how he has had to get out of his comfort zone and build networks in his own personal style to succeed in business.
He has moved from that first awkward networking event in his early 20s to being involved in a number of organisations such as chair of the Chartered Institute to council member of the Prince’s Trust and Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce.
Philip said he was delighted to speak at the event. He added that networking or, better put, relationship building is “crucial in building your business” and it was great to have the opportunity to share his thoughts on how this can be done for mutual benefit.

Hide AdKelli Bagchus, manager of Carrickfergus Enterprise, said: “With limited networking opportunities in Carrickfergus this was an excellent way for those considering self-employment to network with those in business and get inspiration to help start their business.
“Established businesses also got the chance to make new contacts and develop their business further. There was a real buzz from the event as we facilitated networking in a way that made it less daunting for those in attendance.”
