Busy time for Randalstown YFC
This consisted of the secretary’s annual report and the election of new office bearers for 2016-2017: Club leader Sarah Thompson, Club Secretary Gemma Dickey, Club Treasurer Jack Johnston, and Club PRO Elizabeth Adair.
The club would like to thank past committee members for making the year successful.

Hide AdMembers took to the stage in February for the Arts Festival Heats in Ballymoney High School with their performance of ‘Jock of Ages’.
The night was a great success with Randalstown being placed among the top 5 performances, and recently performed in the Arts Festival Gala in the Millennium Forum.
This was a significant achievement for the club who had not reached the gala stage in 22 years, thanks to everyone who helped out in some way.
Recently the club held a successful Arts Festival charity night in Cullybackey College with performances from ‘Lylestone’ (Lylehill and Holestone YFC) Lisnamurrican YFC and Randalstown YFC.

Hide AdAudiences were entertained by compere Joe Graham, a raffle was held and insight into the chosen charity of the night, Parkinson’s UK, from Jimmy McClean was given.
Randalstown members were under the spotlight at the County Antrim’s version of ‘The Cube’ in The Tullyglass Hotel, the team of carried out similar tasks to the TV gameshow and gained second place overall on the night.
The county successes continued for Randalstown at the recent County Antrim AGM in March in which the club achieved third most efficient club in the County. Congratulations also to Laura Agnew for gaining first place in Top PRO and Sarah Thompson for gaining second place in Top Club Leader. A special mention also to Mark Johnston who placed joint second at the recent Dairy Stock judging heats.
Senior members recently travelled to the La Mon Hotel for the YFCU AGM and Conference. The Friday night theme ‘Food and drink of the Year’ seen members dress as dale farm Ice lollies whilst on Saturday members took part in workshops and enjoyed a dinner dance in the evening. Well done to Laura Agnew for competing in the Northern Ireland finals for Top PRO.

Hide AdThe final few meetings of the winter programme have included a club exchange with Moycraig YFC, ‘Bake-off’, Cinema Evening and Go-Karting.
The club is looking forward to a busy summer with preparations underway for the Annual Club BBQ on Saturday, May 14 and Sports night on Friday, May 20.
