Charity car park opens in Castle Street
Following a successful trial period last year, Lisburn City Council and Lisburn City Centre Management have worked together to offer the facility on Castle Street for use by visitors to the City Centre.
The car park, located in Lisburn Historic Quarter beside Castle Gardens is open from 10am to 5pm each day from Monday through to Saturday during the month of August.

David McCallum, Chairman of Lisburn City Centre Management said, “I am delighted Lisburn City Centre Management can be involved in this initiative and I encourage people to use the car park and support this very worthy charity.
“This is a great opportunity for people to give something back but benefit from affordable parking close to all the shops and activities happening throughout the City.”
The Council is working in partnership with the current Mayor’s Charity as the recipient of any money raised.

The City Centre already has a large number of car park spaces and this charity car park will facilitate visits to the wide range of independent shops and businesses in this part of the City Centre.
The Council wants to support traders, especially in the difficult economic climate, by adding to the number of affordable parking spaces available.
