Historic sex '¨abuse charges

A man charged with historic sex abuse offences has been returned for trial to Londonderry Crown Court.

The 57-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is charged with 14 offences allegedly committed between March 1971 and March 1977, including indecent assault on a male and gross indecency towards a child, as well as aiding and abetting indecent assault and gross indecency against one complainant.

He is also charged with indecent assault of a second complainant in the 1980s.

He was released on his own bail of £500 to appear at the Crown Court on April 5.
