Operation Shoebox campaign appeal for help
The popular shoebox campaign, the largest of its kind in the UK, celebrates its twentieth year in 2010 and is an easy way for people to send toys and gifts to some of the world’s neediest children at Christmas.
“We’ve got good teams of volunteers in County Antrim and draw support from areas including Ahoghill, Antrim, Ballymena, Ballymoney, Bushmills, Cloughmills, Crumlin, Cushendall, Glenavy, Larne, Lisburn, Portrush, Randalstown, Rasharkin and Templepatrick.

“We have a Helpline on 0870 011 2002 and a website at www.operationchristmaschild.org.uk where people can find out suggestions of what to put into their shoeboxes, and we are getting 3,000 hits a day which shows there is a strong interest in what we do.
