The sky is the limit for WAVE Trauma Centre’s Jacintha
Jacintha Whinnery did a tandem skydive in August and raised a fantastic £1,540 for the charity.
“My family was affected by the Troubles and WAVE helped us through difficult times,” explained Jacintha.
“So I thought I would give something back.”

She also had good support from her parents Rodney and Christine.
Rodney even paid for the tandem jump, so that all money could go towards WAVE.
The tandem sky-dive took place at the Wild Geese Sky-Diving Centre in Garvagh.

Then the instructor opened the canopy and steered both of them safe to the ground.
It was Jacintha’s first jump and she was really excited.
Her first reaction: “That was amazing – I want to do it again!”
She also thanked all the people for their donations: “It is fabulous how kind people are.”
