'˜Total madness' on mountain road
The separate incidents were detected on the Limavady to Coleraine mountain road at the weekend.
On Sunday evening, police stated, a 20-year-old male, just six months out of R-plates, was driving at 105 MPH, overtaking another car

PSNI Limavady labelled their actions “total madness”.
They added: “Both young males, both at very high risk of killing themselves and others. Both will be reported to the PPS.”
Police noted it was the same stretch of road on which there was a dramatic dashboard camera incident recently.
On Friday, a female attended a police station voluntarily and was interviewed in relation to it.

“We would like to thank the public for their assistance in our appeal for information.”
Meanwhile, after conducting a traffic operation in the Dungiven area on Monday evening, police urged motorists to “please adhere to the speed limit and drive to road conditions”.
The message was underlined at the weekend too when Causeway Coast Policing and Community Safety Partnership, Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service and the PSNI teamed up on a roadshow to highlight the danger of misuse of mobile phone, drink driving and excess speed. The Coleraine town centre event included a NIFRS demonstration of cutting the roof off a car and removing a casualty.
